Weather changes across the country are bringing attention to climate change and ways to cut down on emissions.
MP Alistair MacGregor (Cowichan-Malahat-Langford) will be hosting a series of public town hall meeting over the next two weeks, calling for an urgently-needed national clean energy plan.
MacGregor says we're already feeling the impacts of climate change. We have to reduce emissions and build the low carbon economy we need -- now.
"What I am hoping to bring out of the discussion is to bring together a number of panelists who are involved in different ways in renewable energy to try to have that discussion about some of the ways we can take advantage of emerging technologies and the ones that already exist."
Representatives from Cowichan Energy Alternatives, Viridian Energy Co-operative, BC Sustainable Energy Association, and Earth Future will attend.
A town hall is planned in Langford next Wednesday (March 13th) at the Belmont Secondary School Library from 6- 8p.m.
