RCMP in Nanaimo are investigating a homicide at a Nanaimo apartment building. The BC Ambulance Service called officers to a unit at 275 Nicol Street early last (Monday) night where a man had died of injuries suffered during an assault.
A forensic team was observed examining items on the second floor balcony of the apartment and officers were also seen taking photos of the building's exterior. In a news release RCMP called death death "suspicious" but officers on scene said it was a homicide.
Neighbours told CTV News they heard loud music and screaming between 6 and 7 p.m. Monday evening. The identity of the victim has not been released.
