Ministry of Transportation to reopen a second lane to north bound over the weekend
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has decided to make changes on the Malahat in order to reduce congestion on the weekends.
The Ministry will re-open a second lane to north bound traffic tomorrow through Tuesday in order to relieve an anticipated high volume of traffic for the BC Day long weekend and the Sunfest Music Festival.
Going forward the Ministry will open that second lane Fridays through Sundays in order to avoid the long delays motorists have been experiencing for the last several weeks.
