Monkey escapes Lake Cowichan facility

The monkey escaped an enclosure at Primate Estates on Saturday, and is described as fairly small and brownblack in colour, was last seen heading off into the forest, sparking concern for its wellbeing.

There is a monkey on the loose in the Cowichan Valley.

Conservation officers are searching for the tiny primate that escaped a facility in the Lake Cowichan area on the weekend.

The public is asked to approach the monkey with caution.  He bites.
