Social media has provided a few details about a missing 26-year-old man that divers have been looking for in the Gorge waterway.
Duncan Pucker was last seen on Arm Street, near the Gorge, at 3:30 am on February 4th. His family and police say they are very concerned for his welfare.
CTV Vancouver Island reporter Rob Buffam says the scant information we are learning has come from postings on social media, and reveal Pucker is a popular young man, a former student at UVic, a member of the electronic music club, and an employee of the Broadmead Romeo's restaurant. Police have indicated it's very unusual for Pucker not to be in contact with anyone.
Divers have been searching the water off the Gorge looking for any sign of Pucker.
Buffam says the last time the young man was seen was on a care home surveillance video:
"Surveillance video from that senior's care home on Arm Street shows what appears to be this 26 year old walking down Arm Street towards the Gorge waterway at about 3:30 in the morning, unstable on his feet. And that's where the video cuts out, and that's kind of where the mystery starts."
When he was last seen, he was wearing a blue floral dress shirt, dark jeans and possibly a black peacoat.
If you have any information on Duncan Pucker call police or Crimestoppers. And if you do see him call 911 immediately.
