One man is in hospital with serious burns after an early morning blaze at an apartment building on Pandora.
Fire crews were called to a three story building on Pandora Avenue between Douglas and Blanchard at 2:36 am.
The lone occupant of the unit affected was treated at the scene, and then rushed to hospital.
Fire damage was contained to one suite; several other suites suffered water and smoke damage.
Emergency social services are assisting displaced residents.
The thrift store below also sustained water damage.
A sign on a small bin outside the Beacon Community Thrift store read: ‘Free due to water damage’.
