Oak Bay Police say a man yelling and carrying a pick axe in a busy area of Oak Bay was first spotted and then fled into a nearby coffee shop where he was tackled by officers.
A man was sent to hospital for a mental health assessment Tuesday afternoon following an incident in Oak Bay.
Oak Bay Police say a man yelling and carrying a pick axe was first spotted on Oak Bay Avenue and then fled into a nearby coffee shop where he was tackled by officers.
He was transported to hospital. There were no injuries.
In a tweet, police thanked the public for calling the incident in to them.
