A 31 yearold man was arrested at Mayfair Shopping Center following a police chase.
A 31 year-old man was arrested at Mayfair Shopping Center after reports he threatening a guard with hatchet on Monday evening.
The incident happened at around 6:30pm when a guard approached the man who was suspected of shop lifting.
That's when the man produced a hatchet and threatened the guard before taking off.
He was chased by police and a K9 unit-- and was later apprehended on the nearby Rutledge Street.
No one was hurt in the incident.
The man will be in court on Tuesday on charges of assault with a weapon, armed robbery and resisting arrest.
