CFAX 1070 has learned that in addition to a flagger being struck and injured on Sooke Road Thursday another irate driver was arrested at the scene.
A construction flagger was struck and injured Thursday during an MVI on Sooke Rd which cause further delays and sparked a police investigation. During that slow down and detour another irate driver began yelling obscenities at workers and according to Ian Lamplugh with Island Traffic Group, attracted the attention of police. "He was frustrated about being stuck in the traffic delay and then subsequently having to be detoured and proceeded to yell at the traffic controller with police on the scene. Police put him in hand cuffs and led him away from the area."
West Shore RCMP is still investigating the original incident involving the flagger and the grey hatchback.
The flagger is said to be making a full recovery.
