Peninsula Coop gives 100thousand to replace home for Adults with Disabilities
Residents of Nigel House at the Broadmead Care facility are celebrating a $100-thousand donation from Peninsula Co-op Board Members.
The funds will go towards the Nigel House Replacement Projec, a home for adults with disabilities.
The donation is the first big boost towards the $2.5 million dollars needed to be raised towards the total cost of $17 million dollars.
The new Nigel House is slated to be built on land next to the current site located in Saanich. The current Nigel House is a 2-level building built in the late '70s. It needed so many major upgrades it was decided the best option was to replace the existing structure.
