Saturday marks the Women's March on Washington. Local participants will show their support with a gathering at Centennial Square.
Victoria will be one of 600 cities worldwide holding protests to support the Women's March. There will be a rally at 1pm and a march to follow in downtown Victoria streets.
Organizer, Barbara Mitchell-Pollock says while the issues of human rights are serious, they hope to bring a positive message.
"Echoing that this is important to us and we want our rights and basically I am like Emma Goldman, if I can't dance, I don't want to be part of your revolution."
There will be music and speakers including Victoria Mayor Lisa Helps and Green Party leader, Elizabeth May.
