The Principal of Esquimalt High School has sent a letter home to parents about an investigation started by the school district -- this, after a teacher distributed questionable material to some students. The material was titled "How Not to get Raped" and "How Not to Rape". The information was handed out during an event on Wednesday, International Women's Day.
Principal Tammy Renyard's letter says several concerned parents and students contacted the school, and there was a lot of discussion on social media.
Renyard says School District 61 has initiated an investigation to better understand the context and circumstances around the distribution of the materials.
