Sooke Elementary is bustling with a bigger student body today, as students from a nearby school fills the halls for the day.
Officials decided to close John Muir Elementary school following a collision around 9pm Monday night knocked out hydro to the building.
School officials say families with children who attend John Muir, can drop them off at Sooke Elementary and staff will supervise.
Bus service to John Muir Elementary has not been affected -- but will continue on to Sooke Elementary instead.
The short stretch of Highway 14 between Erinan Blvd and Croce Road affected re-opened at 5am Tuesday.
RCMP have not issued an update of the details of the collision, or if there were any injuries.
