Entertainment has been going on at Ship Point since June 21st. Saturday night at the Legislature the Arkells are on the main stage.
Fireworks scheduled for 10:15 p.m.
Look for free valet bike parking at the Legislature; Flavour of Canada international food village along Belleville Street; family fun zone and the ever popular "living flag" at 2 p.m.
BC Transit has added dozens of buses to move people around. You can buy an all day bus pass for just $5. Buses will be standing by after the celebrations end between 1 and 1:30 a.m.
VicPD's Constable Matt Rutherford says officers will be out in force.
"Leave your liquor at home leave your large bags at home if you see anything that looks suspicious or anything that would prompt a police response, call us."
Parking downtown at on-street meters and City parkades is free both Saturday and Sunday.
