For people in need in Victoria this Thanksgiving Monday, local businessman Gordie Dodd is once again serving his Thanksgiving Meal at the Our Place shelter.
"We have hundreds of turkeys cooking and over 500 pounds of vegetables and potatoes, and buns and pumpkin pie," Dodd told C-FAX 1070's Al Ferraby.
It's the 18th year Dodd has put on the meal, and he's seen the need in our community grow over that time. He says they fed around 1,200 people last year and he expects more this year, "so surprised when I see the line-ups in the afternoon."
The meal is served started at 4pm at Our Place on Pandora.
