West Shore RCMP are looking for a man who witnesses say threatened a Good Samaritan with a knife.
It happened on Sunday (Jan 28) just before 1pm in the 1500 block of Admirals Rd in View Royal.
Witnesses say they saw a man yelling at a woman and then a Good Samaritan intervened. According to witnesses the man then pulled a knife and told the citizen to back off, and began chasing him.
The suspect fled before officers arrived -- but RCMP say the man is known to them.
All of the witnesses as well as the woman involved are cooperating with Police.
Cst. Matt Baker says while it's admirable someone decided to stand up for someone who needed help, it's also lucky they weren't hurt. They caution the public to call police when they see incidents they are concenred about.
