Funeral for Nils Jensen draw large crowd of dignitaries
A well respected politician and public servant has been laid to rest.
Former Oak Bay mayor Nils Jensen, a stalwart of politics in Greater Victoria for more than two decades, died Sunday after a brief battle with cancer.
The service at the Dave Dunnett theater at Oak Bay High School drew a large crowd of dignitaries, local and provincial politicians, as well as members of the public.
As well, Oak Bay Police and Fire Departments provided an honour guard.
