A fire broke out Saint Franks restaurant and bar in downtown Victoria on Tuesday afternoon.
Fire crews arrived on Broad Street to find smoke billowing from the popular hot dog bar.
The restaurant and other businesses were evacuated as Victoria fire crews ascending on the building.
“They found heavy smoke on the building on the second floor,” said Battalion Chief Mark Robertson. “They dragged an inch and three quarter line in and extinguished a fire in a small office area.”
No one was hurt and the amount of damage is still being assessed. The cause of the fire is unknown and still under investigation.
