A fundraising campaign is underway to help the residents displaced by Sunday's fatal apartment fire in Esquimalt. The fire broke out in an upper floor apartment at 843 Craigflower Road. A woman in her 60's died in the blaze.
Barry Goodwin, a pastor at the Esquimalt Church of the Nazarene located next door tells CTV News there are going to be all kinds of needs for the people displaced by the fire.
"They haven't been into their apartments to assess their loss and so once they know their needs, they will let us know and they will make it known to the public, there will be a list put up. They can contact the Mustard Seed---that is likely where they will go, or they'll e-mail the church here."
The church has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $50,000 in donations – approximately $2,000 for each family affected by the blaze.
