Drug checking project designed by a University of Victoria chemist and social worker, advances response to overdose emergency
A new drug checking project designed by a University of Victoria chemist and social worker is set to be unveiled Tuesday afternoon.
It's being piloted at Victoria harm reduction sites as a response to the ongoing overdose emergency.
Initial funding for this project is part of Health Canada's Substance Use and Addictions Program.
The announcement takes place at 2 p.m. at Victoria Cool Aid Society on Pandora Avenue.
