Westshore RCMP say the truck he was in crossed into oncoming traffic, over the sidewalk,striking a tree and crashing into a rock wall outside a Langford home
Westshore RCMP say the driver of a pickup truck hit a rock wall and landed on the front yard of a Langford home yesterday.
At about 1:30 p.m. officers were called to single vehicle crash at McCallum Rd and Cavalcade Terrace where they found an unresponsive man inside an F150 truck.
Investigators determined the vehicle was travelling in the 800-block McCallum Rd (towards Florence Lake Rd), when it crossed into the oncoming lane, over the sidewalk, hitting a maple tree and finally crashing into a rock wall on the front lawn of a home.
The driver was taken to the hospital.
Police found a small amount of narcotics inside the truck, and are trying to determine if impairment was a factor in the crash.
RCMP say incredibly the driver was the only one injured.
