Many people along Dallas Road were left wondering what was going on last night when they saw lots of emergency vehicles in the area in the 1400 block of the waterfront roadway.
Victoria Police says the driver of a van suffered a medical emergency and collided with a cyclist.
They say a van was heading west along the waterfront roadway, when it struck some parked cars and hit the cyclist knocking them to the ground, leaving the bike lodged in the vehicle's grill.
Both the cyclist and the driver of the van were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police confirm the crash is not being investigated as a hit-and-run.
