Eyewitnesses say a buck chasing a doe caused a three car pile up on Pat Bay

The silly season for deer continues to cause trouble in the Greater VIctoria area.

The latest case was a buck chasing a doe into the road at the Pat Bay Highway near McKenzie yesterday. That caused a chain reaction that resulted in a three car crash and two people going to the hospital with minor injuries.

Earlier this week we learned of a woman getting hit with a buck's antlers as it attacked her dog in Fairfield.

The BC Conservation Service says it's not uncommon for deer to become aggressive during their mating season, which is underway now.
