First responders in View Royal used a ladder to help, and apprehend, a confused woman Sunday morning.
West Shore RCMP received several calls of a woman walking with no shoes on, and crawling in garbage bins in the area.
When officers arrived on the scene, she climbed up a rock face and got herself stuck. Ambulances and the fire department were called in, and a ladder was used to get her down.
West Shore RCMP Corporal, Fred Ritchie tells CTV Vancouver Island the woman was taken to the hospital.
"Apprehended under the Mental Health Act, she seems confused about what's going on right now.... She's going to the hospital to get both her well-being checked and her state of mental health."
No criminal charges are being laid against her, Ritchie says they just want to make sure she's okay.
He says it's great that the public called them, as it may have saved her from getting very injured, or worse.
