Tuesday marks the beginning of the 6th Session of the 40th Parliament of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia and it will be ushered in with plenty of pomp and circumstance.
A ceremonial Guard of Honour comprised of 100 members of the Marine Forces Pacific will be on parade during the opening of the BC Legislature tomorrow beginning at 1:30 p.m.
The Naden Band will be performing as will an artillery saluting battery from the 5th BC Field Regiment Royal Canadian Artillery.
The ceremony begins with a 15-gun Vice-Regal Salute with Her Honour, Lieutenant Governor Judith Guichon arriving on the steps of the BC Legislature to meet Premier Christy Clark.
The guns will be located on Belleville Street above the causeway and traffic will be restricted for a short period.
