Victoria Police are confirming a body pulled from the Gorge waterway yesterday (Tues) has been positively identified as a missing Victoria man.
26 year old Duncan Pucker was last seen in the early morning hours of February 4th walking unsteadily in the 900-block Arm Street in Esquimalt, near the water.
Police have released a statement from the family who are requesting privacy at this difficult time. They say Duncan was a much loved and happy young man who will be missed greatly. The family says they are grateful for the efforts of the Police and all others who participated in the search for Duncan.
A dive team scoured the waters of the Gorge near where Pucker disappeared but were unable to find him. A pair of kayakers discovered the body floating under the Selkirk trestle yesterday (Tues) and were able to pull the young man's remains to a dock before calling police.
The Coroner's service is investigating the cause of death.
