From Friday, May 16, through to Monday, May 20, an 92 extra sailings have been scheduled on routes between Vancouver Island, Metro Vancouver, and the Sunshine Coast.
Of those 92, 66 will be along the Swartz Bay - Tsawwassen route, including 6 am sailings, BC ferries most popular route.
There will also be 15 extra sailings between Horshoe Bay and Departure Bay, and an additional 11 on the Horshoe Bay - Langdale route.
BC Ferries says historically, Monday afternoon is the most popular time for people to return to the mainland, and asks that people reserve their spots or travel outside this time, because waits will be expected.
