A slight delay in the detour pain looming for Victoria commuters.
Four months of upgrades that were slated to begin on the Point Ellice (Bay Street) Bridge on Monday (Feb. 9) have been pushed back one week.
Travel across the span will be reduced to one lane westbound only, from downtown Victoria to VicWest beginning Monday, February 16. (Family Day)
With the revised start date for construction, BC transit say the Route 10 detour will go into effect beginning Tuesday, February 17.
The City cites the delay is due to short term BC Hydro work underway on Douglas at Burnside.
