Emergency services and public works for Victoria and Saanich have been looking for the cause of a spill in the Gorge Waterway near the Selkirk bridge.
Fire officials say a boom has been set up around Celia Creek and public works officers are looking for the source of the spill. Colin Park with Environmental Emergency services says the important thing to is to identify the source and stop it at the source. "We've received reports that it's an orangey brown substance, crews are out looking for the source right now."
The Gorge waterway has been experiencing contamination issues all summer with a so far un identified substance working its way into the waterway.
