Another strange discovery involving a needle at the Yates Street Parkade.
The City of Victoria is now investigating after a needle was found tied to a truck in the same parkade where a needle was found taped to a handrail in April.
The city says a driver returned to his vehicle Tuesday night at the Yates Street Parkade to find the used needle dangling from the front of his truck, attached with a rubber band.
The city has ramped up security at the parkade and police have opened a file, but there’s no surveillance video to show who placed the needle.
In April, a needle was found taped to a handrail in a stairwell at the parkade but wasn’t confirmed by police and the city until June.
The city said it has stepped up security after the first needle was reported, but no arrests have been made in that case.
Anyone with information on the latest needle incident is asked to call Victoria police at 250-995-7654.
