Nanaimo RCMP say a 3 hour campaign netted speeders going up to 68 kms over limit
Nanaimo RCMP say a recent speed enforcement campaign resulted in 7 vehicles being towed after drivers were nailed for excessive speed.
The Traffic Unit issued the tickets over a 3 hour period on Island Highway, north of Nanaimo.
Officers were targeting an area in the Lantzville area where there have been a number of recent crashes where speed was involved.
The speed limit there is 80kmh, but the excessive speeders werer caught doing between 125 to 148 km/h.
The vehicles involved were towed an impounded for 7 days.
