Saanich Police have arrested a 27 year old man in connection to a stabbing at a house party that sent one man to hospital.
The incident happened last Saturday night (Dec 2) at a home on Francisco Terrace. Police say an 18 year old male was assaulted and stabbed. He was treated in hospital for non-life threatening injures and is expected to make a full recovery.
With the assistance of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team Cory Nguyen, 27, was arrested Thursday. He was also found to have controlled substances in his possession.
Nguyen is known to police, and is being held in custody. He faces charges of Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Assault with a Weapon. He may also face further drug charges after an examination of the substances are performed at a laboratory.
