11 homes on the Tseshaht First Nation near Port Alberni remain evacuated after heavy rains forced the Sproat and Somass rivers over their banks.
Emergency preparedness co-ordinator Hugh Braker says Highway 4 is cut off and a detour is in effect.
Braker is also worried about forecasts of more rain on the way:
"We're a little bit worried about tomorrow (Thursday). We are told by weather that there will still be another storm coming in tomorrow night bringing copious amounts of rain."
Braker believes more evacuation will be needed and flooded homes could be heavily damaged before the waters begin to recede, and says half of the reserve is on a boil water advisory because water and sewer lines are below the flood waters.
