An apparant act of vandalism in Victoria's Chinatown has left at least 3 cars damaged.
The cars parked along Fisgard Street had their windshields smashed and their hoods dented early Thursday morning.
Stephanie Janssen tells CTV Vancouver Island that she discovered the damage to her vehicle when she left her apartment on Fisgard Street at around 7 o'clock to go for a hike.
"I came out and my car windshield was completely smashed in. Didn't know who did it, so I went and started going through my ICBC stuff. Came down to meet a friend and show her what happened, and there was another vehicle that had been hit. Just across the street, another red car."
She says while speaking inside with the owner of the red car, she heard the 3rd car get smashed. When they got outside, they saw a homeless guy, who is known around the area, sitting on the ground next to Janssen's vehicle.
Victoria police have confirmed that a man has been arrested for Mischief in relation to the damaged vehicles, though they haven't said whether it's the same individual Janssen saw.
The man remains in Vic PD's custody until a telebail can be scheduled.
