Officers say the campaign was focused on Highlands,but will continue
After receiving reports of motorists speeding through the rural area of Highlands, West Shore RCMP mounted an enforcement campaign over the last 2 weeks, and had a heyday handing out tickets.
The tally: 18 Tickets issued for Speeding, Disobeying Stop Signs and other moving violations; 29 Written warnings for various infractions and vehicle deficiencies; a $230.00 ticket for Cannabis in a vehicle; and a 7 day Immediate Roadside Prohibition issued along with a vehicle impoundment.
As well, a defective vehicle was sent for inspection.
West Shore RCMP says the campaign will continue in the Highlands and other areas throughout the West Shore.
