West Shore RCMP's Serious Crimes Unit has released 2 videos and a photo in the hopes of identifying potential suspects in a 6-month old aggravated assault investigation.
It was late on the night of June 26th that officers were called to the Ruth King Elementary School grounds in Langford for a report of an altercation involving 2 groups of youths. One youth was hospitalized with knife wounds.
Police believe there were 2 groups were walking on Goldstream Avenue, between Peatt and Matson Rd, and crossed paths between 8:00 and 11:30pm.
Spokesperson Cnst. Nancy Saggar says one of the 2 groups was caught on surveillance video, which is now being shared with the public in the hopes they can be identified.
One video shows a group of 5 males between the ages of 16 and 23, walking toward the water fountain on Goldstream Ave. The second video shows the same group walking through a parking lot.
Descriptions:
* 2 males are wearing all black clothing
* 1 is wearing a black full sleeve shirt with blue shorts and white sneakers
* 1 has dyed blonde hair and was wearing a red tee-shirt with white writing on it and dark colored shorts
* 1 was wearing a full sleeve dark greyor green shirt with an outline of a white box on the chest, black shorts with white stripes, and white sneakers.
Saggar says investigators wants to speak to them to determine their involvement, and aks anyone who recognizes them to call West Shore RCMP.
