West Shore RCMP have impounded two vehicles involved in a weekend collision on the Trans-Canada Highway in View Royal.
Officers say the collision occurred in the 1900 block of the TCH around 7:20 p.m. Saturday.
One of the vehicles, a 2002 Ford Ranger, rolled multiple times before coming to rest on the highway median.
Witnesses told police the Ford Ranger had been driving erratically & speeding prior to the collision, and had also sideswiped another vehicle while changing lanes.
Investigators determined the driver had been street racing with the driver of a 2021 Dodge Ram.
The driver of the Ford Ranger was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Both drivers were fined $196 for driving without consideration, which also comes with six demerits.
Both vehicles were also impounded for seven days. The driver of the Ford Ranger has minor injuries.
