The potential phase-out of Victoria's horse-drawn carriage industry is causing concern about the dwindling number of attractions for tourists to the Garden City.
Reid James chairs the Hotel Association of Greater Victoria.
He says his organization is in unanimous support of an "important attraction that guests enjoy thoroughly."
According to James, losing an attraction gives would-be visitors one less reason to choose Victoria as a destination, citing the recent closures of the Royal London Wax Museum in 2010 and the Pacific Undersea Gardens in 2013 as having been bad news for tourism.
He adds not one guest has ever expressed a desire to stop the horse and carriage industry in Victoria.
James joins a chorus people who have requested to address Victoria Council Thursday night.
There's also a rally planned outside City Hall at 5:30.
