A Victoria man charged in a number of historic sex assault cases involving young boys from the late 60s to early 80s and has been granted bail.
Harry Charles Sadd, a former youth badminton coach, is facing 23 charges after more than a dozen victims, now adults, came forward to report their experiences.
The 71 year old will be released on $25,000 bail with strict conditions. He must obey a curfew, cannot have contact with anyone under 16 years of age, must stay away from parks, churches, swimming pools and schools when children are there. He is also not allowed to leave the province.
Also, Sadd must not indulge in alcohol or drugs, and may not date or marry anyone with children.
His next court appearance will be on Nov. 15.
