Victoria has topped a list of best cities in Canada to be a women.
The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives report looks into the gaps between men and women in areas like economic security, personal security, education, health and leadership positions. The study focuses on the 25 largest cities in Canada.
Victoria tops the list for a second year in a row. One of the areas where we scored the highest was women in leadership positions. The study notes Victoria is one of the few cities in all of Canada where there are more women on council than men, including having a female mayor.
Victoria also posts the smallest employment gap between men and women.
At the opposite end of the list, Windsor, Ontario ranked last.
