Statistics Canada released its latest jobs report Friday, saying that the economy created 67,200 jobs in September. But the national unemployment rate remained unchanged at 7% because more people were looking for work.
BC's rate edged up slightly to 5.7%. Despite the increase, it was still the lowest provincial rate in the country.
Victoria's jobless numbers remained unchanged at 4.7%. That's the lowest unemployment rate anywhere in Canada.
