Victoria City Council spent Thursday morning talking about pay raises.
After a lengthy debate, the Committee of the Whole voted to increase annual remuneration for members of Council.
The councillors will go from $52,420 to $65,525, thats equal to half of the Mayor's salary and represents a 25% increase.
The actual by law required to make the changes is expected to come before council next month.
