This year is on track to be the busiest yet for TV and movie production in the Capital Region.
More than 1500 people attended a job fair in Esquimalt today to find out more about what it takes to make a movie or a tv show.
People could learn more from experts about all aspects of the biz, including behind the scenes in costume and makeup and set design.
Kathleen Gilbert with the Film commission says they simply don't have enough crew. "When I talk to producers they tell me they are interested in coming here to work but right now we only have enough crews for 1.5 projects and there are 3 going right now."
The last big film boom in the area was in 2015 when 24 projects were underway generating $18-million in direct spending in the region -- and 2017 is expected to top that.
The fair was held at the Pacific Fleet Club -- the Film commission even encouraged people without film experience to attend.
