Some very cool good samaritans converged on Willows Beach in Oak Bay on Sunday morning with swim trunks in hand -- and warm blankets standing by.
The Polar Plunge for Special Olympics BC returned to Willows for it's second year r raising money for BC Special Olympic programs and athletes.
A team of 40 Victoria Police Dept members raised over $16,000.
The Westshore RCMP "Copsicles" came in second spot, raising over $6000 for Special Olympics BC
According to the Vancouver Island Polar Plunge website the monies raised, supassed the 2019 goal by $7,000.
