A vigil and court appearance for two Duncan residents appearing on animal cruelty charges have been rescheduled to Tuesday May 1.
Duncan residents Anderson Joe and Melissa Tooshley were to make a court appearance April 3.
The couple face up to five years in jail and a $10,000 fine for cruelty in connection with Teddy, a mixed breed dog, who died of horrific injuries shortly after being rescued by BC SPCA staff.
They may also be given a lifetime ban on owning animals.
The RainCoast Dog Rescue Society says it’s planning a peaceful demonstration outside the courthouse on May 1.
