Central Saanich Police arrested 2 men and 1 woman Tuesday following a month-long drug trafficking investigation.
Sgt. Paul Brailey says police were tipped off about unusual activity at an area home:
"For the last month we've been watching a residence, and the comings and goings at a residence on Benvenuto Avenue close to the Butchart Gardens area there. It was drawn to our attention because there was a lot of traffic coming and going, and foot traffic coming and going to really quite a deserted residential area."
The men were takenĀ into custody during traffic stops -- one on the Trans Canada and Admirals Road, the other in Cowichan.
The woman was arrested when a search warrant was executed at the house where officers seized cash and cocaine.
Charges being recommended inciude possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Meantime Central Saanich Police will host a public forum in May to talk about keeping residents safe from the overdose crisis that's impacted other jurisdictions across B.C.
