This weekend, a new shelter for the city's homeless will open its door.
The Tally Ho Sports Bar has been turned into a shelter with 52 rooms.
Choices Transitional Home in View Royal was operating on a temporary basis and its contract ends March 31.
Kathy Stinson, CEO of the Cool Aid Society tells CFAX what the new tenants can expect.
"They are getting a hot meal and a light breakfast every day. We'll have client services workers on site to help them transition into employment or volunteer work, get them set up with medical assistance if they need that."
All 52 rooms in the Tally Ho location are expected to be filled by March 31st.
There is a long term plan to redevelop the site with supportive and affordable housing and commercial space.
