Got a nagging sports injury A new website offers easy access to injury prevention information.

Perhaps you want to know how to heal a hamstring pull? Or your bicep is being bothersome?

This is International Move for Health Day. From badminton to boxing, skiing to surfing; if you have a nagging sports injury, a new website is giving parents, kids, coaches and teachers easy access to injury prevention information.

An average of 900 BC children and teens are hospitalized each year due to sports-related injuries.

The website offers injury prevention information for over 50 popular sports and recreational activities, including soccer, volleyball, gymnastics, ice hockey, kayaking, hiking, snowboarding an yoga.

Active & Safe Central was developed by the BC Injury Research & Prevention Unit at BC Children's Hospital - in partnership with injury prevention experts, sport injury specialists and sport organizations across Canada.
