Grateful and hungry patrons were able to sit down to lunch Wednesday at Spinnaker's Brewpub, exactly four weeks after a fire broke out at the popular restaurant.
Wednesday November 23rd, during a busy lunch hour, Spinnakers suffered a fire in the upstairs tap room.
Parts of this iconic Heritage building and much of the interior suffered extensive damage from fire, smoke and water.
Owner Paul Hadfield is glad to be welcoming staff back and thanks the community for its overwhelming support.
"Everybody is humbled and there have been lots of emotions and we are just really happy to have been able to ride through this whole thing together and we are expecially delighted to get back today because the next two weeks are a pretty important time for everybody in Victoria."
The dining room reopened this morning for breakfast, lunch was served, and the dinner menu is available for 5 p.m. with a full draft beer line-up.
