A couple of skydivers wound up way off track and stuck up a tree in John Dean Provincial Park Saturday.
The pair had to be cut down after being found 60 feet up a cluster of trees in the forest near Mount Newton. Central Saanich Fire, the B.C. Ambulance Service and search-and-rescue were on scene.
Fortunately, one of the skydivers had a cell phone on him and was able to call for help.
Central Saanich PD says it appears it was a tandem jump. Both men suffered minor injuries.
Skydiving is popular over the Saanich Peninsula, and most skydivers target a landing area near Stelly’s Secondary School.
